Sound Push
Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2026
1. Introduction
Sound Push takes your privacy seriously. This policy explains what
data we collect, what we do not collect, and what rights you have over
your data.
2. Data We Collect
-
Firebase Anonymous ID — a random identifier created
automatically for every device. There is no login: we never collect
your name, email address, or any other account details. This ID lets
the app deliver sounds to the right device and is not linked to your
real-world identity.
-
FCM device tokens — used by Firebase Cloud Messaging
to deliver sounds to your phone. Stored in our database alongside
your Anonymous ID.
-
Device name — your phone's model name (for example,
"Galaxy S23 FE") is stored so the friends you pair with can recognise
which device they are connected to. It is not your personal name.
-
Custom sound recordings — if you record a custom
sound to send, that short audio clip is briefly uploaded to our
Firebase storage so the receiving phone can play it, and is then
automatically deleted (typically within about an hour).
-
Advertising data — the free version of Sound Push shows
ads through Google AdMob. To serve, limit the frequency of, and measure
those ads, AdMob may collect your device's advertising ID and similar
device identifiers. You can remove all ads with a one-time
“Remove ads” purchase, and you can control your
personalised-ads choice at any time (see
“Third Party Services” below).
-
In-app purchases — sound packs and the one-time
“Remove ads” upgrade are bought and processed by
Google Play. We never see or store your payment card or
billing details — all we store is which items you own (your
entitlements), tied to your Google account so they restore automatically
if you reinstall or switch phones, and cached on your device.
-
Camera and microphone — the app uses your camera to
scan pairing QR codes and to record reaction videos, and your microphone
to record custom sounds. This is processed on your device; nothing from
the camera or microphone is sent to our servers except the short
custom-sound clip noted above (which is then deleted). Reaction videos
stay on your device.
-
Pairing invites — when you invite a friend by link, a
temporary pairing code (valid 72 hours, single-use) and the device
nickname you choose are stored so the link can complete the pairing.
They are deleted once the invite is used or expires.
-
Usage statistics — counts of sounds sent and similar
figures shown in the trophy popup. Stored locally on your device only
and never sent to our servers.
-
Sound history — the app keeps a short on-device list
(up to the 10 most recent in each of the Received and Sent tabs) of the
sounds you receive and send, and when. This history is stored only on
your device, is never uploaded to our servers, and can be cleared at any
time from the History screen.
-
Video recordings — reaction videos you record stay
on your device's gallery. They are never uploaded to our servers.
3. Data We Do NOT Collect
- We do not sell your data.
- We do not store your video recordings on our servers.
- We do not receive or store your payment card or billing details.
- We do not track your location.
4. Third Party Services
Sound Push uses Firebase (a Google service) for
authentication, real-time messaging, and sound delivery. Data handled
by Firebase is subject to
Google's privacy policy.
The free version also shows ads through Google AdMob.
AdMob may use your device's advertising ID and similar identifiers to
serve, limit the frequency of, and measure ads. You can read how Google
uses data from apps that use its services at
policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
In-app purchases are handled by Google Play Billing.
Google processes your payment under the
Google Play Terms of Service;
we only receive confirmation of which items you own.
Because Sound Push relies on Google services (Firebase, AdMob, and Google
Play), some data may be processed on Google's servers outside your country,
including outside the European Economic Area, under the safeguards
described in Google's privacy policy.
Your ad choices. If you are in the EEA, the UK, or a US
state with applicable privacy laws, Sound Push shows a consent screen on
first launch where you can accept or decline personalised ads. You can
change that choice at any time from Settings → Privacy options
in the app, or remove ads entirely with a one-time
“Remove ads” purchase.
5. Data Retention
-
Server-side data (your anonymous ID and FCM token) is automatically
removed after an extended period of inactivity (about 90 days), and your
FCM token stops working as soon as you uninstall the app. When you unpair
from a friend, the link between your devices is deleted right away.
-
Local data (usage stats, recordings) is cleared automatically when
you uninstall the app.
6. Your Rights (GDPR)
We process the limited data above to provide the app's core features
(pairing devices and delivering sounds) and, where required, based on your
consent — for example, for personalised ads. If you are in the European
Union or another jurisdiction with similar data-protection laws, you have:
- The right to access the data we hold about you.
- The right to request deletion of your data.
-
The right to ask questions about how your data is processed.
-
The right to withdraw your consent to personalised ads at any time, from
Settings → Privacy options in the app.
To exercise any of these rights, email
123customhub@gmail.com.
7. Children
This app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly
collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has used
Sound Push, please contact us so we can remove any associated data.
